Large Vintage Three Eye Dzi with Dragon Skin
This bead is adorned with the Three Eye Motif. The Three Eye Motif is believed to bring happiness, success, and longevity to its wearer.
This bead measures 39.9 mm x 19.6 mm. It is a vintage bead, estimated to be between 20 to 50 years old.
This bead has crackles on the surface known as Dragon Skin. The Dragon Skin forms during certain Tibetan Buddhist Ceremonies where the Ritual Offerings to the Gods are set ablaze. Dzi beads are often put into the blaze along with other offerings. It is believed that the Dzi beads that form Dragon Skin are blessed by the Gods.
This piece is in excellent condition. As with all antique dzi beads, weathering marks and minor digs are all part of the beauty.
The bead material is natural agate.
